We really dig what these guys do. They get some great artists to perform for them live, usually stripped down acoustic style in a very cool and personable setting. If you haven’t checked out Green Couch Sessions yet we highly recommend that you stop by. You can also follow them on Twitter via twitter.com/greencowch.
Here’s one of their recent videos featuring our good friends DiRTY RADiO:
Here’s the next fun, cool video blog entry from DiRTY RADiO as they work with Kay in Los Angeles and complete a Western Canadian radio tour…check it out:
Sandra Bouza is a very talented young singer-songwriter currently living, playing and recording in Vancouver, BC. The path that brought her to the West Coast began with a childhood in Toronto and went on to include lengthy stops in both Spain and Scotland. Well-travelled and wise, Bouza’s thoughtful and poetic lyrics reflect a life spent absorbing everything her surroundings have to offer. She lends her impressive vocal talents to many bands and artists in the Vancouver area when she is not playing her own shows and can be found on a stage most nights of the week. She has recently recorded her debut EP; “Kingdom On The Run” and will be officially releasing it in the very near future. Check her out on Myspace, follow her on Twitter and take a look at this quick interview prior to her performance at The East Side Culture Crawl in Vancouver a couple weeks ago:
Check this guy out. He’s got some very cool songs, a whole lot of talent, and an impressive production team backing him up. The song “My <3″ (feat. Sherry St.Germain) has cracked Billboard’s Top 30 Emerging Canadian Artists and Dirty Radio was also selected as CHUM’s artist of the month for November (2010). You’ve probably heard this song on TOP 40 stations across the country but in case radio is not your thing check it out here…at the very least, the jazz piano outro is well worth it:
While you’re at it have a peek at the video for “Head Go Wild”, its got a more raw, in-your-face feel and has been popping up on some popular hip hop blogs recently. The video was filmed on a shoestring budget and features one of Vancouver’s top dance crews; “Over The Influnce” (OTI). The song is available for FREE download at www.dirtyradio.ca, you just have to ‘Pay With A Tweet’!
